Gem Theatre

I am so sad...I just saw on Classmates that they have demolished the old Gem Theatre...they didn't even take the sign off first...remember all of the movies we saw there...I remember seeing Support Your Local Sheriff...or something like that...and The Blob...I was scared for weeks...the balcony...the ornate lobby and the wonderful smell of fresh popcorn!!! Meeting with friends and taking up a whole row of seats...and maybe having a flashlight shined on us once or twice. And watching the older kids sitting in the back row smooching...life was good.
